Starting a business course

Creating your very own business ?

Starting a business is for entrepreneurs, self-employed workers and business buyers who want to develop their business idea, prepare a business plan for a successful start-up or plan a business take-over. The course is offered by the Commission scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys in partnership with the SAJE. At the end of the course, the participant wil receive an attestation of vocational specialization (AVS or ASP in French). During the course, the participants will have to write:

Throughout the process, the participants will be accompanied by a trainer-consultant as they write their plan. They will also hear testimony and advice about business start-up and take-overs from outside speakers who are specialists in their fields.

This course includes practical classes on different business functions: mission and offer, market study and marketing, operations management, financial projections, etc. It also offers many exercises, case studies of participating entrepreneurs, specialized workshops in business law, taxation, financing, etc., as well as lab work and individual monitoring.
